Wonderful Indian food and service. I have never ordered off the menu but tend to enjoy the lunch buffet during the week (if off a day) or try to catch the weekend buffet. Weekend one is a few dollars more but still very - very reasonable. Hard to just recommend one dish only as I enjoyed all. Spices are flavorful but not too spicey - they are happy to recommend dishes for first time diners. Nice options too for vegetarians too. The naan bread is delicious and I love the Chai tea - very nice to enjoy after a meal. Don't miss this local treasure - for the cost of a bland BK or McD lunch - you can savor a variety of flavors and eat much better.

It is always a delight to find a great restaurant when we visit Harford County, especially one that seems to remain well-hidden amongst the chains. Exceptional service, top-notch selection of food. We were so impressed! Can't wait to go back for another lunch buffet.

Great service, great food. We had the Chili Chicken, Chicken Malai Kabob, and Pudina, Puratha (it's like Naan/Roti) and everything was excellent and so was the service.

Surprising good food prepared nicely. Compared to the great Indian restaurants that we have dined, this little gem is certainly worth a visit. Wait staff are receptive and helpful. Atmosphere is authentic and very clean. Food prices are reasonable. Will certainly come back again!!

Easily the best Indian food in the area. The service is absolutely top notch and the mango lassi is to die for! I would highly recommend this to everyone around the area.

Food was very good! Service very attentive. I think they have the best Indian food on the area. Love the mixed bread basket.

A truly excellent Indian restaurant right in Bel Air, Maryland. The daily buffet selections are outstanding. Start with a savory soup; often lemony and always delicious. Then go for the main course --- the dahl, saag, and curried chicken; excellent. Then end with a spiced tea. Always a pleasant experience.

This place was great the staff is super friendly and the food was amazing. I'm not really into curry but the curry dish I got was really good chicken komar. We will definitely be back

Food is amazing and really authentic! The waitstaff is super friendly, too! Talk to them! When I went with my boyfriend for dinner, they gave us dessert (mango ice cream) on the house and it was delicious.

I was pleased and surprised to discover Bel Air has Indian cuisine. We had a Groupon and used it on a Wednesday night at about 6pm. Even middle of the week they were busy. The food came out fast. My son's Chicken Tikka Masala was not the same as mine, which was a good thing(his was kid friendly and much more tomato based). The Good: The portions were generous, enough to take half home, and I was given extra rice when I asked for it to go. Service was attentive. Decor was nice. Our server offered suggestions when we asked. Overall the food was very tasty and the naan was fresh. The Eh: They seemed to be shooting a commercial or something, which was a little strange. The prices were a bit higher than some I've seen. We weren't given menus for about 7-10 minutes after we were seated. I did not care for the coconut shrimp appetizer, it was too sweet. I would recommend this place to a friend.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! When you walk in you are surrounded in warm and inviting decor! But the food is where it's at!! EVERYTHING I have ever ordered from here is flavorful and on point! They have a lunch buffet during the week for about 11-12 bucks so if you are skeptical that't the time to check it out for sure, but you will not be disappointed!! You will leave full with leftovers and might I add happy!! ****The Chicken Tikka is fantastic if that's your go to Indian dish!!!

Had the buffet for lunch. Good but not outstanding food. Most dishes were pretty mildly spiced with the only the goat being really flavorful. Service was above average and it was very clean. It's good enough I'd put it in my regular lunch rotation if I had to work in the area full time

We were big fans of the food at this restaurant. Seeing as how there seems to be a shortage of great Indian places around, this definitely satisfied our need. The food is good and the in-restaurant service was good as well. However, we did have one bad experience here that has soured our opinion a lot. I tried to order takeout one time and the phones were busy. So I drove there and ordered. While there waiting for the food inside for 25 minutes, I called again from inside the restaurant. It turns out, that they take the phone off the hook when there are a lot of people inside, so they don't have to deal with takeout orders. So, in the end, I waited and became angrier and angrier as my takeout order was prepared. It's unfortunate that their service is poor in this regards, it was pretty good, but now we actually cook more Indian food at home.

Went here for dinner a few weeks ago with my husband. It was just ok. The food was decent but nothing to write home about. The atmosphere was kind of strange. The whole restaurant is one big room, it didnt feel like there was any privacy between tables and the temperature of the restaurant was overly hot which always makes me feel uncomfortable. Our service was good but nothing really stood out to me as being excellent. We might be back but I doubt it.

I'm staying in bel air to watch my cousins dog. I found this place on grub hub I found on line. I ordered food for delivery. Well my driver got lost ( so have I at times) and he called. Very pleasant he let me know my address was not in the gps. I gave my directions and he soon arrived (sooner the expected still). He was very nice and apologized for getting lost (who doesn't get lost some times thanks GPS ) I got my food and expected "delivery food" but what I got was fantastic. The kabob plater as an app was great you can taste each protein as there own but the spice brought them together. Then the chicken momo "indo Chinese dumpling omg they were fantastic so much flavor and the sauce I kill you for it. I also ordered some plain naan bread ( I like mine a little burned but I'll let them know that next time ) was soft and sweet delicious. I will watch the dog again if only to order from here again. I need to say I have never reviewed a resturant here before but I felt the need.

I went there with my husband, daughter and son. I had one groupon and my daughter had another one. When we went in if we could sit on the same table and have two seperate checks, if we could use both of our groupons, and the waiter said yes. When it came time to pay the bill they insisted that they would not take both of our groupons because we were sitting on the same table. We had asked before we ordered and they said yes and when it came time to pay the bill they said no and would not budge. This is bad customer service. They should have told us before we ordered. And should have made some sort of exception since we were misled about it in the first place. The food was ok. The rice was paneer was cold, and the paneer was too salty. I will make sure not to go here again.

WORST SERVICE EVER. We ordered drinks and appetizers, took half an hour to get drinks. They messed up half the orders. Didn't take orders for main course until an hourlater. I ordered Pad Thai Chicken Curry, the special. They messed that up too. Got Herr at 6:30 and left at 8:30 waiting for boxes and the check. Best in Baltimore? This is a testament to the fact that Marylandians don't know food.

If you love Indian food this is a great spot in Harford County. If not, then don't read it. Because you don't like Indian food. So why are you still reading this? Sizzling Bombay has a friendly wait staff for dining in or pick up. Sometimes I just pick up some appetizers from them if I am making curry at home. Simosas? Yes please. Check out their lunch buffet during the week. It's not too busy and you get a lot for less than ten bucks. Fantastic!

  • Tashia M.

I had high hopes for this place. I've had my fair share if Chicken Tikka Masalas in the US and UK, this one was the worst. 1) overpriced 2) WAY too salty and leave the green peppers out. The naan wasn't bad though.

  • Dominique N.

First time I had Indian food and went to the lunch buffet. This definitely seems to be the best value for your money. Chicken tikka marsala was good. If you order it for dinner or for carry out you can ask them to make it spicy which makes it better. Garlic na'an is also amazing. The service is impeccable and the staff there was really patient and helpful with making suggestions on what to get. Will definitely be going again.

  • Sara E.

I loved their tomato soup. Served very hot, slightly spicy, and very tomatoey (not watery and not toned down with cream). I also had chicken tikka, which I thought was very good. The chicken was really tender. I ordered a ten, which was spicy but not so much that it was inedible, though my husband disagreed. He ordered rice and asked for five, but it was a little much for him. When we asked the waiter for some hummus to cool his palate, the waiter insisted on bringing him a new, less spicy order AND hummus in a big to go tub so we could have it with our leftovers. Servers were all REALLY nice. I don't get Indian much because my hubby doesn't like a indian that much, but I will be insisting on this place when he gives in. Or when I'm sick cause that tomato soup would hit the spot if you have a cold. Also, I hope they aren't mad at me for taking their pen. I just did it so I could remember to tell my friends about Sizzling Bombay!

Stopped in after not having been there for almost 2yrs. I was told they're now under new management, and it appears so (in a positive sense). The dishes are very tasty and spiced to order, the service was friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was cozy. Chicken Vindaloo is my personal favorite. I'll definitely be going back.

One of my favorite Indian restaurants in the Baltimore area is Sizzling Bombay in Bel Air. And, I have been to many. Service is slow but portions, taste, and value more than make up for it.

Please do not let the small strip mall appearance of this little place scare you away. Head there now. No, wait. Run there now and go back often. The Sizzling Bombay surprised me, and I hope you too are pleasantly surprised. From what I can tell, this appears the only Source for good Indian cuisine in the Bel Air area. My favorite Indian dish is lamb saag, or meat with saagwala sauce. It's a spinach based dish and I love it. I've always loved it, and probably always will. If you like spinach and you've never tried it, I highly recommend ordering it. After reading this review, try krdering it at Sizzling Bombay. The chef has all of his traditional Indian flavors down pat. Again, the food itself is what's important, and this small, brightly colored restaurant is pumping out some seriously good food! Your stomach will thank you for this dining experience. We also ordered the tandoori shrimp kabob. It was served on a sizzling cast iron platter reminiscent of a Mexican fajita dinner. It came with fresh hummus, and we also ordered the roti bread and the paratha bread. All of which was presented in separate dishes, and perfectly prepared before bringing it out to our table. The servers were courteous and attentive. I'm telling you now that this dining excursion was slightly perplexing in that I did not expect such a high-end or fine-dining experience. From the outside, it sort of gives off a carry-out food joint vibe, and they do offer and support a significant carry-out business, as evidenced by the high number of customers who came in while we were there eating, but it's so much more than that! Your Stomach Says "Take me there soon!"

This is my local go-to for indian food! It has really great indian food and I was shocked that it was located in Bel Air...I searched for a long time for quality indian and it was right around the corner! It's great! My boyfriend and I go here every couple months and always leave so full to the point of a food coma...it's definitely a go out to eat, go home night because you get so full! My dish of choice is Palak Paneer with some naan...it is very yummy. The staff here is great! They are so attentive and warm. It has quite a small lounge area with a couch that's cute. The decor is nice...eventhough it's a little tacky with the wavy mirrors on the wall but it's an appreciated effort. Again, expect to leave here with a full tummy!

Its nice to see an owner that actually reads reviews and makes changes to increase customer satisfaction. Refreshing. And a note to those that complain about speed, The food is made fresh to order. Every plate is slaved over from start to finish only once it has been ordered. May take more time, but you will never get old crappy food. The food here is FANTASTIC.

I had never had Indian food before... I am trying to expand my knowledge and experience new things so I gave it a whirl. The staff was awesome! So helpful and recommended food that I really liked! He suggested I come back during lunch next time for the buffet. I will do that for sure!

  • Amy K.

I have eaten here for both dinner and for buffet lunch. First, the dinner...My meal was wonderful! I had the lamb mazedar and it was yummy. Garlic Naan is excellent. The wait staff is pretty attentive, though sometimes a bit slow. Had to wait a bit to get my 2nd glass of wine. Lunch Buffet - I thought it was ok. The selection was not as great as I would have liked, and it seemed like no spicy selections were out. I wanted something with a bit more spice/heat. We ordered garlic naan, not knowing that the buffet comes with free regular naan bread. Wish she would have told us... Definitely enjoyed dinner more than lunch.

  • Heather B.

Food was amazing! The only reason they don't get 4 or 5 stars is because the service is S-L-O-W. We were there for almost an hour and a half for a simple dinner. I'll go back, but only if the service improves!

I've been going here since 2006, despite never having lived in the area. I come here whenever I go to APG for work. Do not hesitate based on the fact that it's located in a plaza... The food stands up. Period. They offer a great lunch buffet with fresh naan, but come for dinner to have your socks knocked off. If you are more interested in an authentic preparation... Let them know... You won't be disappointed. This is one of those places that I look forward to eating... No matter what city I'm coming from. The front of the house staff are fantastic as well, and work tirelessly to make sure your experience is positive. Spotless too!

I'd heard about this place for a while from reviewer Eric R. and finally had a chance to try it. Delicious, rich flavors. I got the chicken curry, garlic naan and palak paneer. Everything was really good, but the paneer was a real stand-out: thick and creamy with thin strips of raw ginger on top -- some of the best I've had. The staff was really nice, and the tables were decorated with beautifully folded napkins in the shape of flowers blooming from each water glasses. Loved that.

Curry chicken was good, a bit soupy/runny. Spice was adequate at #7. Lamb Kadai, the lamb was chewy & tough, with no sauce to speak of. Service was slow but good. Honestly, probably will not return as Bombay Nights is far better tasting and closer- Perry Hall.

I have been coming here for several years now and every time the food is delicious and the service is great. The people who work here are very attentive and friendly. They occasionally have belly dancing or live music, which is always entertaining.

First time I've ever had Indian food and it was amazing! I tried the Goat while my wife had prawns. The seasoned sauces were spectacular. They give you a cracker-like bread with sauces before the meal. We ordered the sampler as an appetizer and it was excellent. Sorry that I don't have the full names of everything, but as we go back I'll update. Highly recommended and used a Groupon. Belly dancer was a nice touch! Lol

Whoever rated this below 4 stars surely has no taste buds. This is hands down the best indian food i have had since i was a kid and my best friends mom would cook for us after school. Do not miss this because of the other reviews. You will be pleasantly surprised My son loved it all. My daughter gave it an ok because she is not a fan of indian food. However, she ate it and didn't complain!! Thats speaks mountains. Lol

I'm from the UK so I've had more Indian food than I care to remember good and bad and this is good Indian food folks. I've probably been through the menu over the years that the restaurant has been there, I have never done the buffet, in fact I mostly get take out. If you have never tried Indian food, then start with the staples which are Chicken TIkka Marsala or Chicken Korma. There are so many Indian restaurants in the UK, that Chicken Tikka Marsala is actually considered a British dish and is served everywhere, not just in Indian joints. It's a spicy tomato based sauce and this place does it very well. A Korma is a creamy sauce and is relatively mild. Ask them to spice it up a notch. My faves are the Jalfrezi and the Vindaloo which about as hot as it gets. Make sure that you get Naan bread with whatever you get. I've never really had a bad meal from this place. Give it a try. You will love it.

Really cool little place. The waiters were very attentive and the food was excellent. They start you by bring out some Papadom which is a flour and cumin tortilla bread with 3 dipping sauces. (Tamarind Chutney, Onion Chutney, Mint Chutney) I had the Chili Chicken and she had the Chicken Tikka Masala both of which were damn delicious and of course the Naan. I really like it when a waiter/waitress asks me how spicy I want my food! lol Thumbs Up. Overall, great experience. We'll be back.

Review for the lunch buffet. It was outstanding and well worth $10. It came with naan and that was very good as well. I will be back soon. *4 vs 5 stars only because the food could have been a little hotter*

Great food and customer service. I recently had an issue with an order and the management helped resolve it on a very timely manner. I have ordered from them a bunch of times now and the food is always quality.

This was a place I was really excited to try and was not disappointed in the least bit. I go there for two specific things: the naan and the vegetable korma. The naan is excellent and similar to what I've gotten at plenty of other places, but the korma is different from any I've ever had before. Instead of being spicy and slightly sweet, it was really sweet, it has fruit in it. I was unsure about it at first, but have found it to be completely addicting. The staff is always really friendly and attentive, and the restaurant is colorful and clean. I love it, this is one of my favorite places in Bel Air.

This place has excellent food. I was really pleased with my meal, goat curry and my husband's chicken tikki masala. The service was wonderful, my water glass and my cocktail were always full! Dessert was always tasty, try the mango ice cream. I hesitated with the 5 stars because it's in a strip mall. That being said, I think they do a great job creating a nice atmosphere. The food is worth it.

Took my son here tonight, he's 13. Food was GREAT! The service was FAST, excellent & very personal. I like it SPICY, and they will make it any level of hot I want on any given day. This is my go to Indian joint in Harford County.

We just had the lunch buffet at 12:30 on a Wednesday afternoon and there wasn't enough food for everyone! When a tray trickled out of the kitchen people were lining up to try and get some. I ended up eating mostly rice, pretty sad. What I did get to eat was OK, certainly not good enough to get me back in the place after having to compete for food. Then the credit card machine was broken so we had to scrape together enough cash to pay. Luckily we had enough cash between us all. I certainly won't be back!

Bad Service Reservation does not matter at this place We went to this place yesterday on Valentine 's Day. We did reservation day ahead and make sure we have spot for 7:00PM. We arrive to this place and they said wait for 5 mins for sitting. We were only 3 person. 10 mins pass by and others customer were getting tables. I said it's been 10 mins what happen to my reservation? They said 5 more mins. Now we waited for 20 mins. Same answer we were getting 5 more mins. Now we waited for 40 mins. Time was 7:40PM and we did not had a table. After waiting for 40 mins, no one came out to apologize for unusual long wait with no excuse. Management were rude and still said 5 more mins. Finally we got tired of this place and went to Neel's Kabab which right in the corner of Panera Bread. Neel's Kabab greet us nicely and we got our sitting right way. We out from Neel's Kabab by 8:15PM. If we were waiting at Bombay Sizzling we had no idea when we will have sitting. Reservation doe not matter at this place, and it does not stand when you reach to place. Beware of before you make any reservation. You and your party might have to wait. Especially when they are under staff. I would not go here with big Party.

Based on the owner's suggestion to go back and give the place a second chance I am please to announce that there are definitely some improvements. The lunch buffet selection has improved. The staff was attentive to refiling it. The staff was very polite and offered great service. I applaud the owner's effort of reading reviews and making improvements. I am optimistic about this place. I will go back.

I've been here twice. The first visit was for the lunch buffet during a Friday. Staff was nice but not attentive with service. Food was dull on flavor,The naan wasn't bad though..

I've been here for lunch now twice. I got the buffet both times. I work about 20 mins away and there are no good options for food, so it's nice to walk in and right up to the buffet. I thought the food was good. Plenty of vegetarian options. The service was friendly and they were quick to refill waters. I will definitely be back (probably next week)!

Good food! Not too pricey. Dont go crazy and order too spicy. I like spicy but you want to enjoy it.

  • SalesandTrails H.

Dinner was much better than my lunch experience here; however mediocre at best. The dishes have a ton of sauce and very little meat or veggies. If you want your food pretty spicy, you really have to tell them 10 plus on a scale of 1-10. Since I live in the area and they run group on specials, I will eat here again and then crave excellent Indian food afterwards.

We came for the lunch buffet and were pleasantly surprised. Inside the restaurant is very dark and kind of gaudy looking, and we were disappointed to see how small the actual buffet area was. However, 10 bucks isn't a lot of money for the lunch buffet so we decided to try it. The selection of food in the buffet is pretty small with about ten choices, my favorites of which were the Chana masala, chicken tikka masala, tandoori chicken and vegetable korma, all of which were hot and delicious. Some selections were unappetizing, such as these fried dough things whose name I don't recall. This was my first time eating Indian food and I was pleased that the buffet items weren't firehouse-spicy, although I heard some of their regular menu items do bring the heat. I am pretty sure there was only one woman working when we went, because she was out hostess, waitress, and I think she was even cooking too. As such it was sometimes difficult to get a naan it water refill, but it wasn't that big of a deal. I will definitely be back soon.

I have never really had Indian food before (just once at a friend's house more than ten years ago) and I have always wanted to try it, but wanted to do it buffet style so that I could try a little of everything. My friend and I came here a couple weeks ago for lunch and she gets Indian food pretty often, but this was my first real experience at an Indian restaurant. The restaurant itself is kinda small and is really just one big open room with tables and chairs throughout and the buffet area was behind the tables and chairs, next to a little bar. Our waiter brought us drinks and we headed to the buffet. It was a Tuesday at one o'clock and there were a few other people there, but the place wasn't crowded. There were a lot of different dishes and everything looked really good. I grabbed a little of something from each dish until my plate couldn't hold anymore. I went back to the table with my friend and tried everything on my plate. I ate it all. I thought everything was pretty good. On my second trip back to the buffet I got seconds on the things I really liked and then a little of something from the dishes I couldn't fit on the plate on my first trip. I thought everything was pretty good, but I was expecting spicier. My friend thought the food was ok, but not as good as the place she usually goes to for Indian. I went back to the buffet a third time, but just for a small bowl of the carrot dessert. This was the only thing that I tried that I was not a huge fan of. Everything else was pretty good and I wish I could remember the names of the dishes, but there were so many and I don't remember which was which. I would like to try more Indian food and will probably go to other restaurants in the area, but I wouldn't mind coming back to Sizzling Bombay.

When I first started coming here, I thought... WOW this place is great, but ever since then (approx 1 year ago), I have been finding myself underwhelmed. 1) the food has recently started to taste like it was frozen before (lunch buffet only) 2) the rare occaison of Gulab Jamun (those milky pancake-like ball soaked with syrup) is so rare that when you do get it.. you are overjoyed only to be disappointed with cold and hard textures. the service is attentive, but the server doesn't always have the best english so.. asking them to heat up the dessert was kind of awkward. other than that.. i wouldn't mind going to this place for a quick indian fix, but their other restaurant in White Marhs/ Honeygo - Bombay nights is better.

Pretty good Indian food in Bel Air. Everything is fresh, savory, spicy, and delicious! The food here is as good as Akbar in Baltimore. The wait staff is very helpful in explaining the dishes. We had a good conversation with our waiter and he explained that they toast, grind, and blend all of their spices. We've added this restaurant to our small list of regular stops.

Total fan! I tried this for the first time a couple of weeks ago and LOVED it. The server was patient and helped us with the menu, and the staples that I enjoy from an Indian place were fantastic; Hummus, Naan, Curry all great! Only criticism was the decor. Would love to see more comfortable chairs. But we go back all the time.

Since this is the only Indian food option in the area it most certainly hits the spot when a craving arises. However, in comparison to other Indian Restaurants I have been to in other parts of the country, this one is a little lacking. My biggest pet peeve is that I like VERY spicy yet flavorful food. I have on several occasions ordered dished here and requested they be "extra spicy", to which I am asked how hot on a scale of 1 to 10... 10 of course! I answered. The food has heat but is certainly not very spicy. When I inform my server they say I should have ordered a 12 (I'm not sure how that works on a 10 point scale). But they do get the basic flavors right and offer a complete menu.

After living here in Harford County for 5+ years I finally visited the Sizzling Bombay. I actually ordered take out and the food was scalding hot by the time I got it home! Excellent chicken tikka masala and wonderful veggie samosa. The masala was mild because I forgot to ask for medium but absolutely delicious. The whole family fought over one dish !! We will definitely be visiting regularly. Their rice and Naan was moist and flavorful as well! Great food!! Samosa was good too. Mild but flavorful. Since I havent published this review flash forward. We now have gone in for the Buffett and have eaten in. Food continues to Ve consistently good. We order medium hot to get a bit more kick. Nice atmosphere not too busy. Like this place a lot!

I'm upgrading my review of Sizzling Bombay from 3 stars to 4. After my not so great experience with their lunch buffet I pretty much stayed away and went to Neel's Kabob. I saw that they had a livingsocial deal so I decided to give it another shot. My husband was reluctant to go since we already had a go to place for Indian food that he loves, but finally gave in. We both enjoyed the decor of Sizzling Bombay and the service was much better than Neel's. The curry dishes we ordered: Lamb vindaloo and chicken tikka masala were both very good, probably better than Neel's. The Naan we ordered though was a bit soggy and not as hot and dry as Neel's. Also the food is a bit more pricey, though they do have a lot of specials during the week M-W for dinner and a lunch deal for the weekend. We will definitely come again!

Good food. However, I can only vouch for the Chicken Tiki Masala. I have been there 3 times and never a crowd. However, I see a lot of people get take out. Maybe a good restaurant for take out.

The buffet at this place is pretty good, and a better selection since new management took over (August 2011) and we absolutely love the Chicken Tikka Masala. For Bel Air and Haford County, this is one of best choices for non-seafood and non-italian, aside from Chipotle (haha, true, but it makes realize how poor the food is here). My one big gripe is with the service. I'd rate this place higher if they could fill a glass of water before it is empty. I mean come on, how hard is it to notice someone is out of water?!

SO happy to have Indian food in Harford County! Kind wait staff, great atmosphere, delicious food! I've seen complaints about the food not being spicy enough, which I think is due to the fact that the buffet needs to please everyone. Not many can handle spicy food! It's still delicious and worth every penny! You can also fill up a to go container and take it with you with the buffet food.

Harford County is has very few Indian Restaurants but Sizzling Bombay would stack up well against the competition in Baltimore or DC. Cool atmosphere, the vindaloo is actually spicy and the naan selection is top notch. Highly recommend it if you like Indian or want to try it.

If you are a big fan of chain restaurants, then disregard this review. If however, you like good food (and good ethnic food to boot) than this place is a must dine. Sizzling Bombay is a small Indian restaurant that serves consistently good food. I dined here again last week and once again, they did not disappoint. I ordered the lamb mazedar which was awesome (I am not a fan of spicy food so the yogurt sauce served to cool this one down to my level.) My wife had the chicken korma again and again, perfect. In sum, this is, hands down, one of the best restaurants in this area. Please check it out so it stays in business.....we don't need anymore T.J. McFunster's in its place!!!

Working right next to Sizzling Bombay for over a year, I always wondered how it was. So I went out on a limb one day and gave it a shot. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised. The staff was very quick and courteous and the chicken curry I had was outstanding. It was well worth the wait.

The food here was good but there were some major service problems. We placed our order and then waited over an hour for our food. It turns out there was a mistake made in the kitchen and our order was lost. It would have been nice for them to at least apologize for the extreme wait or offer to comp our appetizer, but they did none of these things. We did not find out what had happened until after we paid and were walking out the door. The waitress that took our order never returned to our table after taking our dinner order. We never received refills on our drinks and since our waitress never reappeared no one came to check on us we silently fumed for the hour it took for our food to arrive. Due to the incredible wait for our food our moods did not put us in a food loving mood. We enjoyed our meal but all I remember was how incredible lousy the service was. There are very few Indian restaurants in the area so we may try this restaurant again in the hopes that our experience was a fluke but it is way down on the list of places we would like to visit again, even if the food was good.

This place was fabulous! My husband and I dined here on a Saturday night, and it was really great! It was really busy, and there isn't an immense amount of seating, so you might get stuck waiting there. we had to wait a couple of minutes, so we grabbed a drink at the bar. I ordered the tandoori chicken, and my husband had some vegetarian option. the portions were enormous. we don't eat indian food too often, but this is definitely an excuse to start! Who would have thought harford county would have such a little gem in terms of ethnic restaurants. Do yourself a favor and venture away from those chains, such as applebees and outback; expand your horizons! This place has quality food, authentic charm, and exceptional service. Definitely a keeper!

Lol

Fantastic!

I had high hopes for this place. I've had my fair share if Chicken Tikka Masalas in the US and UK, this one was the worst. 1) overpriced 2) WAY too salty and leave the green peppers out. The naan wasn't bad though.

  • Maya M.

Went for the lunch buffet. Food is good, but buffet can definitely have more options.

Good food! Not too pricey. Dont go crazy and order too spicy. I like spicy but you want to enjoy it.

Food was amazing! The only reason they don't get 4 or 5 stars is because the service is S-L-O-W. We were there for almost an hour and a half for a simple dinner. I'll go back, but only if the service improves!

Good food. However, I can only vouch for the Chicken Tiki Masala. I have been there 3 times and never a crowd. However, I see a lot of people get take out. Maybe a good restaurant for take out.

Took my son here tonight, he's 13. Food was GREAT! The service was FAST, excellent & very personal. I like it SPICY, and they will make it any level of hot I want on any given day. This is my go to Indian joint in Harford County.
